Sterling International Academy 

Sterling International offers comprehensive training programs that encompass the protection of proprietary information, liability exposure, safety, communications, public relations and many other issues. Sterling firmly believes that quality of our services is in the direct relation to the development and implementation of initial training and continuous training programs. Part of this strategy includes leadership training. Specific type training offered by Sterling International: 

Level 1 Guard Training;

The objectives of this course is established in four parts; define the key concepts of professionalism, leadership and safety. Identify Texas commission on private security requirements for registrants, commissioned security officers and licensees. Discuss the tools and techniques of note taking and report writing. Describe the role of the TCPS in regulating the investigations and security industry. 

Level 2 Guard Training;

The objectives of this course are established in eleven parts; basic roles and responsibilities.

Techniques for maintaining a good working relationship with law enforcement agencies. Contrast fact and opinion in report writing. Define the security officer’s authority. Define proper inspection techniques. The officers will learn the definition of terms; arrest, criminal liability and civil liability. The role and responsibilities of Non-Commission while standing a post. Identify offenses, when to arrest and the responsibilities. 

Level 3 Guard Training;

Provide continuing education and training for professional Security Officers who may encounter them in a security related situation, this is a continuation of the level 2 courses with the added weapons certification course to become a Commissioned Security Officer. 

Level 4 Guard Training;

The training of a Protections Officer entails many aspects of the person or persons being protected. This level 4 training demonstrates the seven principles of Protection;

Stay with the principal, continually scan the environment, assume nothing, question everything; always have a plan, protect a firm positive professional and ethical presence; protect yourself first and maintain a yellow state of awareness. 

Weapons Certification - Recertification

This course will teach how to carry and the use of service firearms. Sterling International will accept obligation to train all officers in the safely, effective and timely use of firearms and tactics, and the legal, moral and ethical issues. 

SAMA

This course will enable an individual to address alternatives to managing aggression in the workplace. The aggression could be found in angry, frighten, disgruntled employees or customers. Sama addresses that threats and risks come in all shapes and sizes and teaching how to provide the absolute highest standards of quality when it comes to protecting people, facilities and assets. This course will teach how to manage these events.
